What the rate actually pays for
Some tours in Cairo cost less. Here is where the difference goes.
No shopping stops
Every hour on your itinerary goes to a site, not a commission-paying shop or workshop arranged for your guide's benefit rather than yours.
A proper day rate
Guides and drivers are paid in full for the work itself, regardless of what you do or don't buy along the way.
Chosen directly
Every guide and driver working with Nordnile is engaged directly, not sourced through a layer of agencies each taking a cut before the day begins.
Questions you might have
Do I need to dress differently for the mosques?
Shoulders and knees covered, and a headscarf for women at the Citadel and Ibn Tulun. Shoes come off before entering prayer areas.
Is Al-Moez Street walkable for everyone?
Yes, it's a pedestrian street, mostly flat, with cafes to rest along the way.
Is there a break for lunch?
Yes. Rather than a fixed stop, your guide works it in around the day, wherever suits the group best.
