Luxor, cultural immersion
Welcome at Luxor airport, with Nile-view accommodation. Hassan Fathy's sustainable architecture in New Qurna village, breakfast with local families for genuine cultural exchange, the Karnak Temple complex, sunset at Luxor Temple, and an evening through the traditional bazaars.
Valley of the Kings & hot-air balloon
A sunrise hot-air balloon over the ancient temples, a guided tour of the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Transfer to Aswan, with the night in a traditional Nubian house.
Aswan & the Nile
Aswan's islands and Philae Temple, a sunset dinner with Nubian families on Hesa Island, and a hike to the Tombs of the Nobles and Anba Hidra Monastery. Then two nights of traditional felucca sailing on the Nile, under the stars, among river life.
The Red Sea
South to Al-Quseir and a historic guesthouse with traditional architecture. A private Simsimiyya concert of regional music, a Bedouin desert safari into the Eastern Desert mountains with sunset camping, a traditional dinner and stargazing, then snorkelling and diving at the pristine Al-Zarib reefs, and the old town and markets of Al-Quseir.
Departure
A relaxed Red Sea breakfast with coastal views, and transfer to Hurghada or Marsa Alam airport.
